More About Jumping Saddles:
A jumping saddle’s seat is flat and the balance is more in the back. The pommel and cantel are low in a this type of saddle, so that they do not interfere with the rider. Two important points should be sought after in a jumping saddle.
First, it should fit the horse perfectly. The rider can use a jumping saddle that is uncomfortable for him / her, but a horse cannot.
Second, the most important fit for the rider is that their legs fit correctly when the stirups are shortened. If the fit is incorrect, and their knees are too far forward, or too far back, then they will be unbalanced and unable to complete jumping events with maximum ease.
